Bay Area instrumental trio Parker Street Cinema enlisted Burning House to help visually represent the driving, electro-tinged rock of their debut album, Music, In The Blood–without relying too heavily on the strong imagery suggested by the title. To capture the interplay between light and dark elements, the majestic and the brooding, Burning House combined hand drawn materials with paper textures, patterns, and found imagery–mostly taken from a series of antique children’s books–into a striking suite of images as densely layered as the music.

For Pants Pants Pants’ sophomore release, Ok Fine, Burning House Design created a custom CD package that folds out into a fortune teller with multiple collage configurations, which can also be folded completely flat as a 20" x 20" poster. The disc is protected by the folded booklet and a paper sleeve. When folded into its fortune teller configuration, the package can act as a table display for the disc. To view the CD fortune teller in action, visit the Ok Fine page on the official Pants Pants Pants website.

For the first release of electronic rock pioneers, Pants Pants Pants, Burning House conceptualized a digipack design that would embody the band’s unique sound, as well as the album’s title, Pop Songs To Make Us Famous. Conceived as an electronic instrument for producing the perfect pop song, the album cover art has garnered rave reviews. Burning House also created a promo poster and t-shirt designs for the album’s release, as well as an interactive Flash media player for the band’s website, which allows users to play along with the music.
